Chief Conrad briefs media on police shooting

LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) -- Police Chief Steve Conrad said police have received a number of threats on social media.

In response to those threats, the Louisville Metro Police chief is doubling up officers.

“As a result of that information, what we have done is implement a plan where two officers will respond to calls of service,” Conrad said.

Conrad said that may not involve two officers in each patrol car but two cars will respond

to calls.

The chief did not indicate how long this would be in place, but it will be evaluated on a daily basis.
