LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) - The Kentucky Humane Society’s two Pet Resorts are opening their doors to help cats and dogs who are impacted by flooding.
KHS will provide emergency shelter for pets whose owners are displaced by flooding starting February 24.
Those in need of help must call the Eastpoint Pet Resort at 502-253-2221 or Fern Creek Pet Resort at 502-499-1910 in advance since space is limited.
Pets must be current on core vaccinations, including two vaccinations for Canine Influenza Virus (dog flu).
The KHS Pet Resorts are accepting phone calls between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Walk-ins cannot be permitted due to the limited availability at the Pet Resorts.
