LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) –A 64-year-old woman who was injured in an apartment fire in the 900 block of Marshall Street, in the Phoenix Hill neighborhood, on April 18 has died from her injuries.
Authorities say the woman was in critical condition at University Hospital following the fire and died at University Hospital on April 24.
Police said the woman was able to call 911. However, there was significant damage in the kitchen.
There were no other victims in the apartment. It took 25 firefighters 22 minutes to bring the fire under control, according to the Louisville Division of Fire.
Arson investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
