LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) — A school bus accident on I-64 is caused a serious travel delay Thursday morning.
According to MetroSafe, the driver of a school bus experienced a "medical issue" while on I-64 and ran off the road near the Grinstead exit, ending up in the median. Initial reports said that there were no kids on board at the time of the accident, which was reported around 8 a.m.
EMS were called to the scene to assist the driver. The condition of the driver is unknown.
The incident is caused major delays for drivers in the westbound lanes of 64 from Grinstead all the way back to Blankenbaker for over an hour Thursday morning.
