Clarice Scheele joined WHAS11 in September 2024 as a nightside reporter.

Clarice is from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and is a graduate of Hanover College, with a Hoosier and Kentuckiana pride that runs deep.

She received her bachelor’s degree in Communication and Political Science. She crafted her journalism roots through reporting on the campus’ first social media-based newscast, HanoverNow. She took pride in reporting on the issues that affected her college’s campus through the newscast she was a part of founding.

After graduation, she moved to Johnson City, Tennessee where she reported and anchored on the weekends.

She covered a variety of issues that affected northeast Tennessee and southwest Virginia, including infrastructure investigations, court and crime, and flood recovery in Eastern Kentucky and Buchanan County, Virginia.

Her curious mind continues outside the newsroom. She loves traveling and hiking. Clarice also enjoys films and music. Yes, she has seen the movie, and could enjoy the fava beans and chianti, but will pass on the liver.

You can contact her through email at cscheele@whas11.com, or give her a call or text at (502)693-5454.
