LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Eric King is a Murrow and Emmy award-winning journalist with 20 years of on-air experience.
Eric co-anchors WHAS11’s “Good Morning Kentuckiana” weekdays from 4:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Born and raised in Bardstown - the Bourbon Capital of the World - Eric is also a University of Louisville graduate as well as a Louisville Tourism Ambassador.
During his journalism career, he has worked all over the country - from Montana to Mississippi - and spent time working in Dallas, Texas, the 5th largest broadcast market in the United States.
Eric joined the GMK team in Feb. 2022 after hosting “Great Day Live!” with Claudia Coffey for several months.
Outside of news, Eric is an avid traveler. He working his way through all seven continents and all four tennis majors. He has two of each left to visit.
When he's not working or traveling, you can find Eric in the weight room, on the tennis court, training for his next half-marathon, podcasting, and hitting every restaurant in sight.
