LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Gabriel Gonzalez joined the WHAS11 team in June 2024 as a weekend morning anchor and weekday reporter.
Gabriel is from San Antonio, Texas. He earned his degree in Radio, Television, and Broadcasting from San Antonio College and a degree in Communication from the University of Texas at San Antonio. While he misses his hometown and family, he is happy and proud to be here in Louisville with his fiancé and two dogs.
Gabriel spent the last two years in Colorado. While there, he spent most of his time anchoring shows, but also found a deep love and appreciation for reporting. When he wasn't anchoring, he loved telling stories that impacted the community. Whether it was talking about spring cleanup or talking to local businesses, he was there and ready to inform viewers.
Gabriel takes great pride in representing Latinos in news. Representation matters!
