LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Mallory is excited to return home to Louisville and join the Weather Impact Team at WHAS11.
Mallory is a proud graduate of duPont Manual High School and earned her Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Western Kentucky University (Go Tops!). During her time at WKU, she spent a semester abroad in England and a summer storm chasing in the Great Plains. Post-grad, Mallory traveled across Iceland for a summer program studying climate science.
Mallory’s passion for weather began around the age of 8 with her obsession with The Weather Channel and severe storms. Her love of science and interest in news reinforced her career choice throughout school. Mallory’s first bite of the broadcasting bug occurred at Fern Creek Elementary, when she was chosen as one of the fifth grade “anchors” for the morning newscast announcements.
Prior to moving home to Louisville, Mallory spent the better part of the past decade forecasting in Columbus, Georgia; Omaha, Nebraska; and most recently, Tucson, Arizona. She earned her Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) seal from the American Meteorological Society in 2021.
When she’s not on TV, Mallory enjoys trying new restaurants, going to concerts, and cheering on the Cards.
