It seems playing a baddie on screen has only made Jeffrey Dean Morgan sweeter at home.
ET's Nancy O'Dell caught up with the 50-year-old actor on the red carpet at the Golden Globes in Los Angeles on Sunday, where his wife, Hilarie Burton, praised his brutal Walking Dead character for making him "good cop" when he's off the clock.
"It's made him good cop at home. He gets all his bad cop stuff out of the way at work and then he comes home and he's happy dad," she revealed.
"I'm sweet all the time. And my kid thinks I'm cool, so that works," Morgan added of the perks of playing Negan. "I take out the trash."
"Dinner, babysit, everything," Burton said. "I think that's the key," Morgan confessed. "The key to success with home life is to be a crazy person on TV."
While Morgan isn't nominated this year for his Walking Dead role, he will be presenting.
