Gwen Stefani may not have a singer in The Voice season 24 finale -- but she can't stop marveling at the season's talent.
"I feel sad and excited at the same time," Gwen told ET's Deidre Behar ahead of the first night of the season 24 finale. "This season has so many incredible singers and I had such an amazing team of amazing people... Everybody was just so inspiring and sweet."
"It's exciting, still, because I've fallen in love with so many people out there and they're just so good. I can't wait to see what's going to happen," she added.
Gwen shared her holiday plans with hubby Blake Shelton last week, but she also revealed that she's got big things in the works for the new year!
"I'm actually putting out music, so I'm excited about that," she noted. "I've been working on this for a long time. I've finally landed in that place where I'm obsessed, where I can't stop listening, so I feel like I'm somewhere."
As a mother of three boys, Gwen admits finding time for creativity can be difficult, but she's put her heart into these new tracks.
"I'm just trying to find like little pockets of time to make music and it still never gets old," she shared. "It's still so exciting and magical."
At the same time, she's reflecting on a big anniversary coming up. Next year marks the 20th anniversary of the No Doubt frontwoman's debut solo album, Love. Angel. Music. Baby.
"It had been building up my whole life," Gwen reflected. "There was this freedom that I had in me that I was just, like, I don't even know where it was coming from. It just had to happen."
"It was just such an amazing time and a magical time," she continued. "There's just so many good songs [on that album, so many memories... 'Hollaback Girl' -- to be able to write a song like that with Pharrell that we knew that when we wrote it, we were like, 'OK, we just hit someplace that no one's ever gone, like, this song is crazy."
The Voice's two-part season 24 finale airs Monday, Dec. 18 at 8 p.m. PT/ET and Tuesday, Dec. 19 at 9 p.m. PT/ET on NBC.
