Pat Colbert, 'Dallas' Actress Who Played Dora Mae, Dead at 77

Pat Colbert, the actress best known for her work on the hit series Dallas, has died. She was 77. 

Colbert's death on June 23 was confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter by her sister, Tami Colbert. According to the report, the actress died at her home in Compton, California. Though no cause of death was revealed, her sister shared that she suffered three strokes over the last decade. 

Colbert's career began in the 1980s when she appeared on the series Flamingo Road as one of the working girls for four episodes. After her brief time on the show, she landed her big break on Dallas in 1983. It was the role of Dora Mae, the host of the Oil Baron's Club, which was a prime location for characters on the iconic series. 

Colbert appeared on Dallas for 67 episodes from 1983-1991.

Colbert's other acting credits included Benson, Capitol, Knots Landing and The Fall Guy. Her last listed credit was 2015's If Not for His Grace

The actress is survived by her son, Michael, and her siblings.
