Romance rumors between the singers began swirling earlier this year. In January, speculation that the "Greedy" singer and "Stay" rapper were dating sparked when McRae posted a photo on Instagram of herself wearing a shirt that fans believed to be LAROI's. Chatter grew when LAROI commented on the post, which was taken during McRae's Mexican vacation.
Later, a video surfaced that appeared to show the pair partying in Mexico with friends, leading some to believe that LAROI was on the trip with McRae.
In February, an eyewitness told ET that the two were holding hands at Michael Rubin's 2024 Fanatics Super Bowl Party at the Marquee Nightclub at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. LAROI performed at the event.
That same month, LAROI spoke to ET about his documentary, Kids Are Growing Up: A Story About a Kid Named LAROI, and how his famous friends have supported him in his career.
Whether it's hanging out with Justin Bieber or Post Malone -- or spending time with McRae -- LAROI explained that there's a connection with other artists that is unlike any other friendship he could have.
"It is a very specific feeling or thing that you go through... not many people would know unless you're just doing it," he said. "So it's cool to be able to have people who are able to go through [it] and also just be super cool and welcoming and open."
