Don Rickles always had a friend in Tom Hanks and Tim Allen.
The actors were quick to pay tribute to their late Toy Story co-star after Rickles died on Thursday from kidney failure at the age of 90.
Rickles voiced Mr. Potato head in the iconic 1995 Disney film, as well as the movie's two sequels and several Toy Story shorts and specials, while Hanks and Allen played Woody and Buzz Lightyear, respectively.
"Don Rickles is one of the biggest reasons I am a comic today," Allen said in a statement to ET. "I feel bad, mostly for everyone in Heaven who will now learn first hand from the sharpest wits ever, what it's like to be Rickled."
Hanks took to Twitter to honor his friend, writing, "A God died today. Don Rickles, we did not want to ever lose you. Never. Hanx."
