Dinosaur Island exhibit returns to Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

POWELL, Ohio — The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium's annual Dinosaur Island exhibit has returned.

Dinosaur Island is found in the zoo's Australia and the Islands region and will run through the end of October.

The attraction features more than 20 animatronic dinosaurs, including species never before featured at the zoo, a walking path and a boat ride. 

Some of the dinosaurs featured this year include the Spinosaurus, Torosaurus, Pteranodon, Velociraptor, Tyrannosaurus rex, Brachiosaurus and Carnotaurus.

For anyone wanting to take a voyage on the Dinosaur Island boat ride, there are a few things to be aware of:

  • For safety purposes, non-walking infants are not permitted
  • Guests under 42” tall must be accompanied by a supervising companion over the age of 14
  • Guests may get wet while on this attraction
  • A wheelchair-accessible boat is available for this ride

A special admission ticket is required for entrance and is not included with Zoo admission. Admission to Dinosaur Island is $4 for general admission, $3 for Columbus Zoo members and free for Columbus Zoo Gold members, as well as included in the price of a ZooMore Wristband.
