Forecastle canceled for 2020

The annual music festival held at Waterfront Park announced the event was canceled via Twitter.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Forecastle announced Thursday the cancellation of its annual music festival. The event, which was slated to have its 18th edition of the festival, will not have a postponement date and will be back in 2021.

"Although the 18th edition of the event will not continue as planned, rest assured Forecastle will return stronger than ever in 2021," the event's social media page said via Twitter.

The music and art festival held at Waterfront Park was scheduled for July 17-19. Headliners for the festival were Jack Johnson, Cage the Elephant and the 1975 and acts like Louisville native Jack Harlow and Brockhampton were scheduled to perform.

In the tweet, the event said tickets will be automatically refunded and purchasers will receive an email with details on timing and processing of the refund.

No dates in 2021 have been set and it is unclear if similar music festivals in Louisville like Louder Than Life, Hometown Rising and Bourbon & Beyond will postpone. Those three events are scheduled to take place in September.
