LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Many communities across Kentucky and southern Indiana are preparing to celebrate the 4th of July on Thursday with large fireworks shows.

Enjoy family-friendly fun, the “Waterfront’s Most Talented” variety show and fireworks at the Big Four Lawn on July 4. The event is free of charge.
UPDATE: Waterfront Park has delayed its festivities by one hour due to storms moving through the area later this evening. All activities will now begin at 6 p.m., the variety show will begin as planned around 7 p.m. and fireworks will still happen at 10 p.m. Officials are continuing to monitor the weather.
The festival is free and will feature live music, an art show, raffles, food and beer booths, pet contest, cake baking contest, inflatables for children – and of course, fireworks.
It starts at 10 a.m. on July 4 and lasts until about 10:30 p.m.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. on July 4 and starts in the 100-500 blocks of Spring Street in downtown Jeffersonville, Indiana. It’s expected to last until 2 p.m., ending at Warder Park with a celebration immediately after.
Enjoy a full day of festivities at Paristown on Thursday, July 4. General admission tickets cost $15 if you purchase in advance, or $18 at the door.
There will be an artisan market on Brent Street from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., a donut hole eating championship at 8 p.m., live music starting at 5 p.m., and the night ends with grand fireworks display by Zambelli Fireworks at 9:45 p.m.
The celebration begins at 6 p.m. in Cowley Park. It will feature live music, food trucks, inflatables for children and fireworks at 9:40 p.m.
UPDATE: This event has been moved to Sunday, July 7 according to their website.
This southern Indiana celebration will be held on Wednesday, July 3. It will be free and feature live music, fireworks, food, drinks, and activities.
NOTE: This event has been canceled due to weather. The city will work to reschedule.
Join the Bardstown community as they celebrate Independence Day and Stephen Foster’s birthday at the J. Dan Talbot Amphitheatre.
There will be family-friendly games and bounce houses starting at 6:30 p.m., live music and fireworks display right after the performance.
The city has delayed their fireworks celebration to Sunday evening. It starts at 7 p.m. on the ECTC Campus. Fireworks begin at 10 p.m.
