JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. — Dust off your rainbow flags and colorful attire because a huge pride festival is happening this weekend just across the river from Louisville.

The annual Southern Indiana Pride Festival returns to Big Four Station Park in Jeffersonville on Saturday, June 1 from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Organizers of the event say the festival has become a "beacon of inclusivity" for the region and this year's festival is poised to be bigger and better than ever.

"The Southern Indiana Pride Festival is not just a celebration; it's a powerful statement of unity and acceptance," Southern Indiana Pride President Sarah Johnson said, "It's a day where we can come together as a community, celebrate who we are, and reaffirm our commitment to creating a more inclusive society for everyone.”

Attendees can expect live music, drag performances, dance acts and several vendors selling merchandise and food from local businesses.

“This year's Southern Indiana Pride Festival is set to be the grandest yet! With close to 60 vendor booths, festival attendees will have a plethora of options to explore," Johnson said. "The family zone, presented by the New Albany Library, promises a delightful area for families to unwind and engage in activities together, continued Johnson."

Former Midwest All American Goddess, Vanessa Demornay, will be the special guest emcee throughout the day. Demornay will introduce guests to an amazing lineup of entertainment including Kentuckiana Pride Marching Band, Voices of Kentuckiana, The Queens from Pride Bar, Bette’s Burlesque, Drag Daddy Productions and The Light Fantastic. Local Music Artist, Vibe Like Ty will close out the event with a concert at 10 p.m.

VIP guests can enjoy access to the VIP tent as well as special appearances by some performers. Guests can purchase VIP tickets here

“The Southern Indiana Pride Board has dedicated immense effort to ensure this festival is the most memorable to date. We look forward to seeing everyone there!” Johnson said.
