With that comes a staple event that dates back to 1988. Dubbing itself as "the nation’s largest annual fireworks event" and "one of the top five air shows in the country", Thunder Over Louisville is an event you don't want to miss.

- How long does the event last?: 3:30-11 p.m.

ThunderBlast | Kentucky Science Center, 727 W. Main Street
- How much?: Ranging from $50-$135
- How long does the event last?: 2-10 p.m.
- What does the ticket include?: Access to the air show and fireworks display, access to the museum's indoor exhibits, food and drinks from local vendors, do science with their hands-on learning activities, inflatable fun in an outdoor play area, and access to indoor restrooms

Thunder at The Kentucky Center | Kentucky Center for Performing Arts, 501 W. Main Street
- How much?: Ranging from $32.10-$64.35
- How long does the event last?: 2-10 p.m.
- What does the ticket include?: Incredible views from all three levels of The Kentucky Center building, live entertainment from Redline Performing Arts and Cowboy Preachers Club, activities for kids, ample outdoor viewing space on the Belvedere, and food service and concessions. There will also be multiple bars available where adults can enjoy beer, wine and cocktails.

Thunder at Slugger | Louisville Bats & Louisville Slugger Field, 401 E. Main Street
- How much?: Ranging from $30-$86
- How long does the event last?: 1-10 p.m.
- What does the ticket include?: While there is no baseball game this year, The Juice Box Heroes, JD Shelburne and The Crashers are scheduled to perform before the firework show.

Thunder Over Louisville | Lynn Family Stadium, 350 Adams Street
- How much?: Starting at $25
- How long does the event last?: Parking lots open at 7 a.m. on Thunder before stadium gates follow at 11 a.m. After the fireworks, attendees can avoid any traffic with the stadium open until midnight.
- What does the ticket include?: The day’s programming includes a screening of “Top Gun: Maverick” on the stadium video board leading into the Thunder air show. Live music will play following the soccer game. Tickets include all-day access to restrooms and a number of complimentary family friendly games and activities. Lynn Family Stadium will also have an array of food and beverage options on sale.
