LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two Kentucky natives received nominations for this year's MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). The nominations were released Tuesday.

Louisville rapper Jack Harlow was nominated in the song of the year category for his hit "Lovin on Me," which released last November. He's nominated alongside Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar, Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift and Teddy Swims.

Harlow has previously won four VMA awards in 2022, including song of the summer for "First Class" and best collaboration with Lil Nas X.

Another Kentuckian, Tyler Childers' music video for "In Your Love" has been nominated in the video for good category. This is his first VMA nomination and he's been nominated alongside Alexander Stewart, Billie Eilish, Coldplay, Joyner Lucas and Jelly Roll, and Raye.

If you'd like to help either artist win, you can vote online for your favorite artist in each category. Voting ends August 30.
