Frazier History Museum opens new exhibit highlighting Louisville media

It's called "Flashback: Louisville Media Through the Years."

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Frazier History Museum revealed its newest exhibit on Tuesday, and it's a blast from the past for some at WHAS11.

The exhibit is called "Flashback: Louisville Media Through the Years." It explores the role of the media throughout Louisville's history.

In it, you'll see how outlets covered major events in the Metro like the great flood in 1937, and the 1974 tornado.

People perusing the exhibit will also find raw video from the WHAS11 archives of the coverage from the Standard Gravure shooting and the 1994 winter storm.

Not only will visitors see local coverage of historic events, they will see the history of Louisville media itself, like the very first WHAS Crusade for Children.

The exhibit will be up until January 2025. Louisville television and radio stations donated to the exhibit.
