LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Caufield's started in Louisville in 1920 as a photography studio, with the owner stocking the waiting room with practical jokes and magic tricks to keep customers occupied. Eventually, the novelty business was more successful than the photo studio, and Caufield's Novelties drew generations of families for toys, Halloween costumes and decor. After being downtown for 99 years, the business is moving on from its brick and mortar base. Tracy Caufield Johnson still runs the family business and she stopped by Great Day Live to talk about the next chapter for the iconic business.
