Louisville’s Westport Middle School has turned to world-renowned electric violinist Mark Wood to help “electrify” the school’s music program. Best known for his work with the Trans-Siberian-Orchestra, since 2001 Mark has helped schools develop music programs through his Electrify Your Strings program. Since his first visit to Westport Middle School, their orchestra program has grown by 400%, and is now touring around the country. Joined by his wife Laura Kaye and choreographer Nathan Blake, we’re treated with a special live performance in the GDL studio.
