Louisville bids farewell to FBI’s Amy Hess

The special agent in charge of the local FBI is leaving for a new job in Washington D.C. Amy Hess has been named the executive assistant director of the FBI’s Criminal, Cyber, Response and Services branch, and will be leaving Louisville after working serving here for two years. She will be working to improve policy related to cybercrimes and digital technology. Hess, who is from Jeffersonville, IN., was the on-scene commander of the FBI’s counterterrorism operations in Afghanistan while working in Tucson and in 2014 she became executive assistant director over the Science and Technology branch. She has a degree in aeronautical engineering from Purdue University. Amy Hess stopped by Great Day Live to give more details about her new position.
