LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Halloween is the perfect time for spooky stories like sights of strange footprints, moving objects and angelic orbs.
These are just some of the encounters Louisville-native Bill Stark said he's had at his Red River Gorge cabin.
Over the past decade, Stark said he and his wife have documented more than 100 supernatural events.
And he said he has the photos and videos to prove it.
That pushed him to put them all into a book.
It follows his appearance on the Discovery Channel's "Ghost-tober" special in 2017.
"'These Woods Are Haunted,' the episode is Haunted Cabin," Stark said. "The book is different than that. We've written everything down. I've documented things happening when I was up here myself."
While most of Stark's encounters have been cordial, he said some were terrifying, namely when the 'spirits' were provoked.
"I said, 'all you have to do to get something to happen is to call them out,' o I went over to my big bay window and said 'if you're here, show yourself,'" he said. "Next thing you know, two huge pounds on the front door from the inside out."
Starks book is called 'In Shadows Canyon Red - Our Haunted Cabin in the Red River Gorge."
It's available at Carmichael's and the Frazier History Museum.
