LOUISVILLE, Ky. — While its coffee is popular, there is one more thing that Please & Thank You is known for: chocolate chip cookies.
And USAToday is recognizing that.
Please & Thank You is nominated for USAToday's "Best Cookie Shop" for 2023.
According to the voting page, the cookies are "soft and gooey on the inside and slightly crisp around the edges, they’re made from a secret recipe that took the shop’s owner over two years to perfect."
The cookie is well-known in Louisville and has long been called "Kentucky's best chocolate chip cookie."
Other cookie shops from Oklahoma, New York, Pennsylvania and California are also competing for the title.
The first store opened in the NuLu neighborhood in 2011, followed shortly by the cookie factory in west Louisville off Duncan Street in 2013.
After a couple of years, the Crescent Hill/Clifton area store opened in 2016 and it "is our cozy neighborhood shop where everybody knows your drink" according to the website.
The most recent store opened in 2019 in Prospect.
