LOUISVILLE, Ky. — If you've been wondering why WHAS11's Shay McAlister has been off your television screen for a while, she has a good - and very cute - reason.
Shay and her husband Jimi welcomed a baby girl into the world last week. Graham Marie was born Sept. 26, and she and her mother are resting comfortably at home.
Shay said Graham is named after three "beautiful and brilliant" women: her great grandmother Shirley Graham, godmother Terri Graham and Shay's mother Traci Graham McAlister.
"We are so in love with everything about her and soaking in God’s greatest gift," Shay said in a Facebook post. "Thank you for all of the love you’ve given our little family. We know we are blessed beyond measure!"
