USA Today's readers' choice poll results feature 2 iconic Louisville attractions

Both museums have welcomed thousands of guests in their lifetimes.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two iconic museums in Louisville are considered 'Best Attractions for Sports Fans' according to USA Today.

The annual reader's choice poll ranked the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory as number five, and the Kentucky Derby Museum as number three on the list.

The Slugger Museum gives baseball fans a behind the scenes look at how some of the best bats in the world are made, all the way from the woods to the big leagues.

In 2023, the museum welcomed more than 300,000 guests.

Hillerich and Bradsby, the company that makes Louisville sluggers, said they were thrilled by the recognition.

The Kentucky Derby Museum on the other hand gives sports fans the opportunity to dive into over 150 years of racing history.

During the previous fiscal year, the Derby Museum welcomed an all-time high 258,000 guests.

"Congratulations to the Kentucky Derby Museum and the Louisville Slugger Museum," Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg said. "Your commitment to providing engaging and unforgettable experiences draws visitors from around the world and elevates Louisville's reputation as one of America's great sports cities."
