Actors, artists set to appear at Louisville science fiction convention

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Wonderfest returns to the metro for its annual celebration of all things science fiction. It will be June 4 and June 5 according to the press release.

Wonderfest’s Amazing Model Contest welcomed nearly 800 sci-fi models last year. Hobbyists and model producers from around the world attend this event.

This event features a mix of Hollywood actors, special effects guests, artists, filmmakers, displays, lectures and behind-the-scenes movie features according to the release.

There will be life-sized Lost in Space robot replicas and a life-sized Jupiter 2 flight deck at this event. There will also be How-To Demos and The Rondo Awards Saturday afternoon.

Tickets are sold at the door only, and are $33 for adults and $12 for children ages 4 - 12. Children three or younger get in free. Two-day tickets are discounted, and it is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
