LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Zoo, WaterStep and the Louisville Water Company are partnering together to mark the beginning of World Water Week 2024.

On Aug. 25, select animals at the zoo will get unique enrichment activities. There will also be interactive activities for guests at Glacier Run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Zoo officials said the animals will get special WaterBalls donated by WaterStep; the WaterBalls were originally designed to help people carry water long distances without balancing jugs on their heads.

“This celebration highlights the vital role that clean water plays for both people and wildlife," Zoo Director Dan Maloney said.

We’re excited to partner with the Louisville Zoo and the Louisville Water Company to kick off World Water Week 2024, which focuses on water for a peaceful and sustainable future.”
