LOUISVILLE, Ky. — After 26 years in business, Manhattan Grill is sadly closing its doors at the end of the year.
The downtown Louisville restaurant opened in 1997, at the corner of Muhammad Ali Boulevard and 5th Street, and serves sandwiches, burgers and salads.
According to a Facebook post from the owner's daughter, Jennifer Salome, her father is retiring.
"It's a chapter that needs to happen so my Dad can fully enjoy his life that he worked so hard for," Salome said. "I spent 24 of those 26 years in that place and it absolutely shaped who I am today. I got to work with my family to create something amazing in the city I was born and raised in."
She said the equipment inside the restaurant is being sold off to those who are interested.
If you would like to stop in one last time, Manhattan Grill is open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
"This place wasn't just a place to eat. It was a place to learn and grow and to celebrate God and all the blessings he gives us," Salome said. "Thank you Manhattan Grill for all the life lessons."
