Kentucky firefighters rescue ducklings trapped in a storm drain

Zoneton firefighters executed an unusual rescue mission Sunday in Shepherdsville.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky firefighters executed an unusual and adorable rescue mission over the weekend in Shepherdsville.

Firefighters with the Zoneton Fire Protection District saved a group of ducklings that were trapped in a drainage trench on Blue Lick Road near John Harper Highway.

Crews were able to lower one of the firefighters down into the trench to save the ducks. A total of eight ducklings were rescued.

Not your typical rescue Sunday morning. A group of ducklings found their way into a drainage trench on Blue Lick near John Harper. Zoneton was called to help their rescue.
