LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Mega Cavern’s Lights Under Louisville is returning for another holiday season!
A spokesperson for Lights Under Louisville said this year is the longest its ever been. The extended display will take guests on a 30-minute experience spanning over 1 mile. The event is also introducing the first holographic Santa and holiday display to be seen in the U.S.
Lights Under Louisville has 40+ themed displays, mapping projections, 900+ illuminated characters, four LED light tunnels, two laser sections, and more than 6.5 million points of light.
The annual holiday underground experience starts on Friday, Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. and will run through Monday, Jan. 1.
“We began building this year’s holiday light extravaganza in August to create the most immersive Lights Under Louisville yet," Charles Park, Louisville Mega Cavern executive president, said. "This year, we’ve expanded nearly every area of our production, while stepping up our fan-favorites. And, the MEGA light tunnel is back along with all-new light tunnels, an even longer route, and so much more for magical holiday memories"
Officials said Lights Under Louisville attracts visitors from around the world and has received multiple awards from national travel publications, such as Trip Advisor and USA Today.
Guests are highly encouraged to purchase their tickets online here. Passes start at $42.99 per vehicle. Guests can skip the waiting to see Lights Under Louisville even sooner with a priority pass. Officials said priority passes must be purchases by 2 p.m. on the day of attendance. All passes must also be bought online in advance, because cash won't be accepted.
