LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Someone in Kentucky is a million dollars richer after a lucky draw on Tuesday night.
A ticket sold in Louisville for the Mega Millions drawing matched all five white ball winning numbers but not the Mega Ball, winning the game's second largest prize: $1 million.
The winning Mega Millions number from last night’s drawing are:
3 – 4 – 33 – 36 –52 with a Mega Ball of 17
If the ticket holder had also matched the Mega Ball number of 17, they would have won $465 million, according to Kentucky Lottery officials.
The retailer who sold the ticket has not been announced yet. Lottery officials say they are undergoing several "security checks" to ensure the validity of the winning ticket.
The winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it in a secure location. They have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize at Kentucky Lottery headquarters in Louisville.
The winner should contact the lottery at 877-789-4532 to make arrangements to claim their prize.
“We’re looking forward to greeting Kentucky’s newest millionaire,” Kentucky Lottery President and CEO, Mary Harville, said.
