Brown-Forman Corp. has a new distributor in Italy.
The company recently signed a deal with Gruppo Montenegro — an Italian spirits and food manufacturer — to distribute its Jack Daniel's, Woodford Reserve and Finlandia Vodka brands, according to trade journal The Spirits Business. The deal includes some of Jack Daniel's adjunct brands such as Tennessee Honey, Gentleman Jack and Jack & Cola.
This new deal took effect May 1. The story notes that Brown-Forman had previously been working with Campari Group in Italy. Campari owns a key rival in the bourbon business: Lawrenceburg, Ky.-based Wild Turkey.
