LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville bar on Frankfort Avenue turns 100 years old this year!
Gerstle's is the "last man standing" of the original bars in St. Matthews.
Owner Erik White said he heard stories from his father and grandfather about their wild nights out at Gerstle's. He's owned the bar now for 16 years and says it has been an honor to keep the family legend alive.
The bar is hosting a 100 year birthday party, which began at 2 p.m. on Friday, on the outdoor patio complete with live music.
