LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Humana is delaying the return of its workers to the office by more than a month.
The health care giant, which employs nearly 13,000 people, planned for all its buildings to be fully operational after Labor Day with limited capacity. Since the rise of the delta variant, Humana said it listened to concerned employees and moved the return date to October 18.
City leaders and many downtown businesses have been waiting for the return of Humana workers. Some closed businesses told WHAS11 they will reopen when Humana employees return to the office.
