LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A real estate investment firm based out of Indianapolis has bought one of downtown Louisville's tallest, most iconic buildings.
KennMar purchased the Fifth Third Tower on Fourth Street, standing 26 stories tall, totaling 347,000 square feet, this central property is within walking distance from the KFC Yum! Center, Louisville Slugger Field and Waterfront Park.
Brent Benge, KennMar president and CEO, recognized this is a big move into the Louisville market.
"This is our second acquisition in the office sector within the past 12 months and we are excited about the opportunity to expand our footprint into the Louisville market by purchasing one of the most well-recognized and well-located office properties in the city," Benge said.
According to a KennMar press release, the Fifth Third Tower features many valuable amenities including a conferencing center, fitness center, Wi-Fi enabled lounge with skyline views, and access to convenient, covered parking options.
KennMar CEO Brent Benge said the company plans on upgrading the building beginning as early as Summer 2023.
