BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — A Kentucky manufacturer is expanding and hiring more workers, officials said.
Material Handling Systems Inc. plans to invest $7.6 million in a new facility in Bowling Green, creating 200 full-time jobs, Gov. Andy Beshear announced on Thursday in a statement. The Mt. Washington-based company manufactures conveyor and automated sortation equipment.
The Warren County facility will provide steel structures for conveyor and sortation systems that will be installed at the company’s headquarters in Mt. Washington, the statement said.
The expansion is a response to significant growth recently and anticipated future growth, Material Handling Systems said in the statement. The company started as a one-room operation in 1999 and now does business around the world.
