LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Krispy Kreme on Bardstown Road, which has been closed for nearly six months after an arson fire, is set to reopen soon.
Cassie Beem, director of communications for Krispy Kreme, said the location will open its doors to the public next week.
"We are happy to confirm that the shop will be reopening on November 26," Beem said in a statement.
On May 21, Louisville Fire Department responded to a fire at the Krispy Kreme on Bardstown Road.
Investigators believe the fire was caused by Michael Moore, 40, who was arrested immediately following the incident. He is charged with arson and wanton endangerment. Moore is currently being held on a $100,000 bond.
Police say witnesses saw Moore throw a plastic bottle on the roof which ignited the fire. There were employees inside at the time, but there were no injuries reported.
