LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Kroger on West Broadway will be getting a million dollar renovation.
Customers can expect to see an increase in product and shelving, improved variety of fresh categories, updated decorations, lighting, exterior signage and new landscaping.
With the announcement, Kroger's Louisville division said it is also investing $500,000 in increased wages at the Broadway store, with hourly wages starting at $14.70 for courtesy clerks and $25.85 for department leaders.
The remodel is expected to extend into next year. It's unclear when the remodel is supposed to start.
“We are proud to be part of the West Louisville community since 1929,” Division President Jake Cannon said. “We recognize Kroger’s unique role in the communities that we serve. We are committed to serving our West Louisville neighborhood as an employer, grocery retailer, healthcare provider and more. We have a responsibility to create positive change and deliver on Our Purpose to Feed the Human Spirit with affordable, fresh food and friendly service.”
On Friday, store leaders will be at the Bishop's Table with Bishop Dennis Lyons to discuss how the remodel will impact the store and its hours.
