LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Lyric at Norton Commons is a new multi-million dollar development that just started accepting tours and tenants. The project sits in the Norton Commons community and boasts over 270 units.
“I’m finding a lot of residents that are moving in here are, like, my age or older," said Wendy Taylor, one of the first tenants to move onto the property.
"Maybe they retired and they’re downsizing, so that makes it really nice because we get to live in a luxury development without the upkeep of a big house," she said.
That's the goal of the project, created by Bristol Development Group. Charles Carlisle, Chief Executive Officer of Bristol, says the living experience at Lyric will be unique.
“You probably saw the town square that’s across the street from our retail space. If you can imagine, all four sides of that square will be retail space at the ground floor so you’ll have all that energy around that one central area and that should make it a really interesting place to live," Carlisle said.
So far, the development has seen over 30 applications, but management at Lyric says that number is ramping up as more units become available.
According to Misty Barnes, Community Manager at Lyric, one of the main draws to Lyric is the amenities which range from classics like a pool and fitness center to more unique amenities like a rental commercial kitchen and a meditation garden.
“Honestly I’m excited about the amenities. I think they’re going to be one of a kind of this area and it’s definitely wanted and needed," said Barnes.
The goal is to have Lyric fully leased-up within a year and to have all construction complete by the end of this calendar year.
“As this building continues to evolve, I think you’re going to find a wider range of culture and people of different backgrounds and interest than your typical family that Norton Commons tends to attract," said Taylor.
