LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville staple will be closing its doors for the last time once they have sold and delivered all of their merchandise.

In a post on social media from Aug. 2, Burdorf Interiors announced it was closing after a 157 year run.

"We would like to thank all of our customers and patrons for an incredible run, and a ton of great memories and milestones in this business," they wrote.

They said while there are several factors contributing to the closure, the biggest one was the loss of their owner Allan Morris. He led the company for almost 30 years, and he died in 2020.

They said they would be liquidating inventory and they will be marked down below their actual cost. Their hope is to stop operating on the showroom floor on Aug. 10.

Warehouse almost completely cleared out. We will be liquidating all inventory for below cost. Our showroom will be open Friday and Saturday 10am-5pm this week. Everything must go.
