'We're here for the memories': Frosty's Frozen Treats opens for second season

Staff will be serving up cold refreshments like frappuccinos, sweet tea, sparkling ice and snow cones all summer long.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Frosty's Frozen Treats down by the river opened on Friday for its second season.

The big blue concession stand sits at the left entrance to the Big Four Bridge in Louisville's Waterfront Park.

Staff will be serving up cold refreshments like frappuccinos, sweet tea, sparkling ice and snow cones all summer long.

Frosty's owner told WHAS11 on Friday she's been in business for years, and is so excited to be back at the Waterfront Park.

"I'm excited, I've persevered and I've pushed; I've been in business for over 10 years doing various things just keep moving forward and I'm thankful for Waterfront Park Development as well for the opportunity," owner Jackie Jones said.

Frosty's is open Wednesday through Sunday and closes at 8 p.m. each day.

"We're here for the memories; kids don't get out and play tag but there's lots of space to come down and play tag, get them off their phones and bring them down to Frosty's Frozen Treats for a snow cone," she said.
