LOUISVILLE, Ky. — While Black Friday is for most of the chain stores, Small Business Saturday lets, well, small businesses shine this holiday season.

On Saturday, Nov. 30, there will be two main locations for Small Business Saturday in Louisville.

Louisville Independent Business Alliance (LIBA) will be hosting the two events in south and west Louisville.

The South Louisville celebration will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Colonial Gardens. Aside from shopping, there will also be giveaways, music, children's activities and free coffee or hot chocolate.

The West Louisville celebration will be in the Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be shopping, as well as giveaways, music, concessions, Santa and children's activities.

The LIBA's event in west Louisville is in partnership with MELANnaire Marketplace, Louisville Urban League and RPOP.

Both locations will also have college football playing on televisions.

The first 100 people to attend the West Louisville celebration will also get a bonus $5 to spend with vendors, and all children will get a free photo with Mr. Claus himself.

Anyone who needs a gift idea but can't make it out to south or west Louisville can also visit LIBA's hoLOUdays Gift Guide.
