LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A popular East Coast convenience store chain is expanding to Kentuckiana, and now we know where.

Wawa has filed plans to open two stores in Louisville.

According to zoning applications filed with the city, one location would be on Taylorsville Road at Sweeney Lane, and the other would be on Vaughn Mill Road near the Outer Loop.

The stores offer fueling stations and convenience store options, but the chain is also known for custom hoagies, breakfast and dinner.

Wawa previously said they plan to open stores in both Indiana and Kentucky stores sometime after 2025.

“These markets are the perfect places for Wawa to expand based on their strong business communities, their family-like atmosphere, and the confidence that our unique offer and amazing associates will be welcomed by these communities," Chris Gheysens, Wawa’s president and CEO, said.

Indiana officials said the Wawa will potentially be built at 1354 Veterans Parkway, near Lowe's and Chick-fil-A.
