ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. — Just nine months after the first Kentucky Publix opened in Louisville, the location of a new Publix was announced on Tuesday.
Publix will soon be coming to Elizabethtown, just 45 minutes south of Louisville.
Publix at The Shops at Pear Orchard will be located in the northeast corner of Pear Orchard Road and Ring Road.
This location will feature a 55,325-square-foot super market as well as an adjacent 3,300 square-foot Publix Liquors that will offer beer, wine and spirits.
“We are excited to announce our continued growth across Kentucky with 12 locations now announced in the state,” said media relations manager Jared Glover. “ We look forward to delivering the Publix experience to our new customers in Elizabethtown soon!“
Publix officials have not yet released an opening timeframe for the new location.
