LOUISVILLE, Ky. — If you're having trouble accessing your bank's wallet on Friday, you aren't alone.
Users of several banks across the country, including in Kentucky and southern Indiana, are reporting issues amid a global technology outage that has grounds flights and impacted local hospitals.
The outage has been traced back to a cybersecurity company called CrowdStrike, which provides anti-cyberattack services to Microsoft and other large companies.
Downdetector shows users reporting issues at multiple banks, though it's unclear if these issues are directly tied to the CrowdStrike outage.
PNC
Users are reporting issues with PNC services, according to Downdetector.
Most of the issues appear to be with using the mobile banking app.
Chase Bank
Users are reporting issues with Chase Bank services, according to Downdetector.
More than 57% of users reported issues with account balances and transactions. Some users were also unable to login to their mobile apps.
As of 9:30 a.m., Chase Bank said it is investigating customer reports and appreciates their patience.
Fifth Third Bank
Users are reporting issues with Fifth Third Bank services, according to Downdetector.
Most of the issues appear to be with users being unable to access online banking services.
Truist
Users are reporting issues with Truist services, according to Downdetector.
Many users are reportedly having issues using mobile login and online banking services.
US Bank
Users are reporting issues with US Bank services, according to Downdetector.
Nearly 75% of reports are of users not being able to access online banking services.
