HORSE CAVE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The operator of Hidden River Cave says he is re-examining safety features after more than a dozen students had to be rescued from the Hart County cave on Thursday.
The cave operator says he is looking into installing a communication system that would let guides contact employees above ground and alert them of inclement weather.
Nearby Mammoth Cave National Park uses a phone system along the pathways to allow guides to communicate at all times.
