Gilda's Club Kentuckiana giving out green light bulbs one last time

There are two separate drive-thru pickup opportunities in Louisville on Thursday, May 21.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — If you’re still looking for a green light bulb to remember and honor the loved ones we’ve lost during the coronavirus pandemic, Gilda’s Club Kentuckiana is giving them out one last time.

The club has partnered with PC Home Stores in New Albany to provide the bulbs and raise awareness of the free cancer support programs available through GCK.

The club has planned two drive-thru pickup opportunities on Thursday, May 21 in Louisville. The first is at the Gilda’s Club Kentuckiana headquarters at 2440 Grinstead Drive from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The second pickup is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the YMCA West Louisville branch at 1720 West Broadway.

Bulbs are first-come, first-serve, but you must complete a form online before you go to pick up your bulbs. You can find that form here.

This is the last time Gilda’s Club of Kentuckiana is giving out the green bulbs to the public. If you are interested in getting some after May 21, you can contact PC Home Stores at 812-944-4444. PC Home Stores has donated more than 8,000 green bulbs to GCK.

Earlier this month, Gilda's Club Kentuckiana delivered thousands of green bulbs to homes in Louisville and southern Indiana. The "Gilda Goes Green" initiative has raised more than $25,000 to support families living with cancer during the coronavirus pandemic.
