Starting at 9 a.m. four convoys will travel from all over the city to the parade's assembly area.
Convoys will begin from the VFWs in Pleasure Ridge Park, Okolona and Middletown and the Clark County, Indiana Health Department.
The Veterans Day parade will travel east down Jefferson Street from 7th to 4th Street.
Static displays will be visible after the parade around Jefferson Square Park between Liberty Street and 5th and 6th Streets.
Families can meet veterans and check out a tank, military jeeps and other vehicles. Organizers said a steel beam from the World Trade Center will also be displayed.
Who is this year's Veterans Parade Grand Marshal?
The 2024 Grand Marshal for the Kentucky Veterans Day Parade is Colonel Don "Doc" Ballard.
He is a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient for his heroic service in Vietnam.
"As a Hospital Corpsman Second Class (HC2c), he provided medical care to a wounded Marine under fire during an ambush. He then threw himself on a hand grenade to protect that Marine and the four other Marines moving him to safety," officials said. "That grenade failed to detonate and Col. Ballard continued to treat other Marine casualties."
